"I want to turn next to a woman who actually survived the Chinese Communist Party, specifically during its most odious years of Mao's efforts to bring about a revolution within the revolutionary Chinese Communist Party. Her name is Xi Van Fleet. She knows a thing or two about Mao, struggle sessions and the like; and we asked her to help us understand the substance of her book Mao's America. What's on the line here as a result of the Chinese predations inside America? Xi Van Fleet, thank you so much for joining us. The floor is yours."
"Thank you so much for having me. And this is a very, very important topic. And I believe that one of the most important things that we need to understand is that we are not at war with the CCP now. We have been in a war with the CCP since its founding. That is 1921.
Its conception, it understands that it has three archenemies. One is Christianity, the other is capitalism, and the United States.
Why? Because the United States embodied both.
And this is why my new book is most relevant to the discussion today. Made in America, the Hidden History of How the U.S. Enabled the Chinese Communist Party and Created Our Greatest Threat. Since the 1930s; since the Americans directly engaged with the Chinese Communist Party, we failed to understand it. We absolutely failed to understand. After almost a century, a lot of Americans still don't understand what the Chinese Communist Party is all about. And so my book explains all this.
And in the early 1930s, Americans ― especially after the Pearl Harbor ― they engaged with the Chinese Communist Party; thinking that they might help with the war effort against Imperial Japan. From the very beginning, they have no understanding that Chinese Communist Party is communist first, Chinese second. And so they led ― actually they did, just like Bannon explained earlier ― about people like Edgar Snow wrote the book to really convince most Americans and American political leaders that Chinese Communist Party is not really communist. They're just agricultural agrarian reformers. They were not.
So they have been with war with the United States ever since. And not like Soviet Union, even though during the Cold War they are our archenemy, but we never really had armed conflict with them, but not China. We had the Korean War and tens of thousands of Americans lost their lives. And after that, just like both Bannon and Gaffney mentioned, we lost more than 100 American lives to the CCP's COVID and also fentanyl. So we have been in the war. And that's something I really want people to understand. And it's not our choice. It's their choice.
And also always remember, Chinese Communist Party is communist first. And like Bannon always used this word, Lao Bai Xing 老百姓 ; itmeans "Average People". They are also the enemy of Chinese people."
